What a trip! I flew out to British Columbia to visit my brother and his family, and together we entered the World Ski & Snowboard Festival’s 72-Hour Filmmaker Showdown. What we ended up creating was a true family affair. My brother wrote, directed, and starred in the film, while my dad and wife handled PA and catering duties :) My little nephew even stole the show as our child star.
A big thanks to Chris and Jack, two awesome local filmmakers who joined the crew and helped us pull it all together.
This story was a deeply personal one, it centers around the loss of our mother in 2017 to cancer. As you can imagine, a lot of emotion went into every frame. With only 72 hours to write, shoot, and edit, it was a whirlwind experience, but one I’ll never forget.
